Mesh Motorcycle Gear
This collection brings together two different uses of the word mesh: ventilated motorcycle clothing made with open-weave or high-airflow panels, and motorcycle intercoms that use a Mesh communication network. They solve very different problems, so compare the product type and its individual specification before choosing.
The clothing range includes jackets, trousers and gloves for road, touring and off-road use. The communications range includes complete single and twin intercom kits from systems such as Cardo and Sena. Armour, garment approval, weather protection, communication protocol and supplied components all remain model-specific.
Ventilated mesh clothing
Mesh panels allow moving air to pass through selected parts of a garment. The amount of airflow depends on panel size and placement, the layers worn underneath, the screen and fairing on the motorcycle, riding speed and weather. Some products use mesh only in targeted zones, while others have a largely open construction.
Jackets and hoodies
Compare the declared garment class, included shoulder and elbow armour, back-protector provision, fit adjustment and jacket-to-trouser connection. A casual appearance or mesh panel does not confirm protective approval.
Trousers
Look for the correct waist and leg fit, knee-armour position, hip-protector provision and connection options. Ventilation, abrasion construction and approval vary between textile, leather and mixed-material trousers.
Gloves
Airflow gloves may use mesh, perforation or vented protection. Check palm construction, wrist retention, cuff length and the individual EN 13594 marking where applicable. Waterproofing and insulation are not implied.
Changing conditions
Some garments include or accept a removable weather layer, but many mesh products are deliberately open to the air. Carry a separate waterproof or insulating layer when the product does not include one.
Mesh motorcycle intercoms
Mesh-capable intercoms can create a group network in which supported units communicate with one another. How riders join, reconnect and switch between Mesh and Bluetooth modes depends on the manufacturer and model. Cardo Dynamic Mesh Communication and Sena Mesh Intercom are distinct ecosystems, and compatibility should never be inferred from the word mesh alone.
Before buying, confirm the exact generation, supported group mode, whether you need a single or twin pack, helmet mounting options and the items included in the box. Claimed range, group size, audio hardware, radio, voice control, camera functions, charging time and battery life differ between products and operating conditions.
If you are expanding an existing setup, match the manufacturer, model family, generation and firmware requirements. Cross-brand Bluetooth pairing may provide more limited functions than a native Mesh group. For a broader comparison, visit motorcycle intercoms.
How to narrow the clothing range
Start with the product category, then choose for your riding and climate. Browse motorcycle jackets, motorcycle trousers and motorcycle gloves to compare mesh products with waterproof, laminated, leather and multi-season alternatives.
Fit matters because protective inserts need to remain over the intended body area. Try the normal base layers underneath, check the garment in a riding position and make sure closures, armour and connection zips remain comfortable. Follow the maker’s care instructions so that mesh panels, coatings, membranes and protectors are treated correctly.
Why shop this range at Moto Central?
Moto Central stocks mesh-tagged equipment across both clothing and communication categories, so the collection is useful for discovery but benefits from careful filtering. Product pages show the exact garment construction, armour, approval, communication technology and pack contents. The team can also help check clothing fit or intercom compatibility before you order.
Customer questions
Is mesh motorcycle clothing waterproof?
Not automatically. Open panels are designed for airflow. Only treat a garment as waterproof when its specification states a membrane, liner or waterproof construction, and check whether that part is included or optional.
Can Cardo and Sena Mesh units join the same Mesh group?
Do not assume they can. Their native Mesh systems are different. Some models may communicate through Bluetooth pairing or later cross-brand features, but the supported functions depend on the exact units and software.
Does mesh clothing include armour?
Some products include approved protectors, some provide pockets for optional inserts and others are not protective riding garments. Check the listing for the exact supplied armour and garment classification.
