Shot gloves are primarily designed around motocross and off-road riding, where a close handlebar feel, flexibility and ventilation are important. The current Moto Central collection includes Skin, Raw, Contact, Trainer, Devo and Climatic families, plus adult and youth listings. Graphics and colourways can account for many separate products, so compare the model family before choosing by design.
Most lightweight MX gloves serve a different purpose from full-gauntlet road or track gloves. Contact, Raw and Skin products are shaped for off-road use, while Climatic 2.0 is explicitly listed as a waterproof MX glove. A waterproof label should not be transferred to the wider Shot range, and an off-road glove should not be assumed to carry EN 13594 road-glove certification unless the exact product states it.
Shotās official motorcycle catalogue presents glove ranges alongside measures such as lightness, flexibility, ventilation, comfort and protection. The balance changes between families and generations. Contact graphics such as Infinite, Venom, Counter and Score are not necessarily separate constructions, while a 2.0 suffix can identify a newer product. Use the complete name on the Moto Central listing to avoid mixing information from another year.
Skin and Raw gloves focus on the minimal, flexible end of the catalogue. Devo provides another off-road route, while Trainer listings should be read by their own intended use. None of those names alone confirms waterproofing, insulation or road certification.
Climatic 2.0 is specifically named as a waterproof motocross glove. That can be useful for wet practice, trail or enduro conditions, but a membrane and a lightweight dry-weather glove will feel different at the controls. The cuff must also work with the jacket or jersey layer so water does not run into the opening.
For regular road riding in rain, compare Shot Climatic with the wider waterproof motorcycle gloves collection and check certification, cuff coverage and abrasion construction. Waterproofing describes weather management, not the entire protection specification.
Raw Youth and other youth-labelled products appear in the same automatic collection as adult gloves. Do not choose a youth size by age alone. Measure the hand, check the modelās chart and make sure fingers reach the ends without pressure or excess material. The wrist closure needs to retain the glove securely, and the child must be able to operate the throttle, brake, clutch and switches without the glove folding around the controls.
Browse childrenās motorcycle gloves when comparing youth-specific products across brands. Adult riders can use the broader motorcycle glove collection to compare off-road designs with road-certified alternatives.
Moto Central groups current Shot glove families, graphics and youth variants in one place, making it easier to identify when two listings are colour versions of the same model. Clear catalogue images help compare cuff, palm and back-of-hand construction before checking the individual product details.
For a coordinated off-road kit, browse Shot jackets and the wider Shot range. The collection links also make it straightforward to move from a light MX design to waterproof or road-focused alternatives where the riding conditions demand it.
Are Shot gloves intended for road riding?
The collection is primarily motocross and off-road focused. Check the exact product for road certification and choose a road glove where that specification is required.
Are all Shot gloves waterproof?
No. Climatic 2.0 is specifically waterproof-labelled, while lightweight Contact, Raw and Skin products have a different brief.
What is the difference between graphics and glove models?
Names such as Venom, Counter and Score can identify artwork within a family. Compare the base model and generation before assuming the construction has changed.
Can a child wear a small adult glove?
Only if the measurements, finger length and wrist retention are genuinely correct. A youth-specific pattern is usually the better starting point.
