X-Small motorcycle helmets are intended for riders who match an XS fitting in the relevant range. The centimetre chart matters more than the name: XS can mean different measurements between brands, and it should never be treated as an automatic youth designation.
Check the actual XS measurement
Even published charts can differ at the smaller end of the range. AGV lists 53–54 cm for XS in several current full-face models, while HJC's general reference chart lists 54–55 cm. These are examples of why the exact helmet chart must take priority; neither range is a universal XS conversion.
Keep fit separate from appearance
A compact-looking helmet is not necessarily the correct fit, and an adult rider with a smaller head does not have to choose by stereotyped colours or graphics. Start with the model and its intended user, then compare finishes after the fit is established. Our helmet sizing guide explains how to approach that first assessment.
Check the details on the chosen version
Use the individual product information to confirm helmet format, approval, fastening and visor equipment. If you need glasses or a communications system, discuss those requirements during the fitting rather than choosing a looser size to create space. Compatibility belongs to the particular helmet model, not to the XS label.
Compare your options at Moto Central
Moto Central can help compare XS options across different ranges. Bring a current measurement and your usual riding glasses, rather than relying only on the size of an older helmet.
