Small motorcycle helmets suit riders whose measurements and head shape match the selected model's S fitting. Small is not an age or gender category, and it does not by itself identify a children's helmet or a particular level of equipment.
Choose for the rider, not the label
Start with the intended wearer and the manufacturer's chart. An adult shopping for a Small helmet and a younger rider needing a youth model should each have their own measurement and fitting assessment. Do not select a helmet simply because its graphics, colour or size name appear aimed at a particular rider.
Make room for a proper fitting check
A helmet must sit fully and correctly on the head before its fit can be judged. Check the view through the eye opening as well as contact at the crown and cheeks, following the manufacturer's instructions. Glasses and other riding essentials should be considered during the fitting, without using them to justify an otherwise loose helmet. Read the helmet sizing guide before narrowing your options.
Compare practical details after fit
A smaller size does not tell you whether a helmet has a sun visor, a compatible anti-fog insert, removable comfort padding or an intercom mounting arrangement. Check those details individually. Consider how easily you can reach the vents and fastening with your riding gloves, and choose the helmet format for your intended use.
Compare your options at Moto Central
Visit Moto Central with the rider who will wear the helmet. A Small fitting needs to be assessed on their head, with their usual glasses if applicable.
