Glove: Large

Large motorcycle gloves bring together L-labelled options for different seasons and riding styles. A good choice needs the right hand proportions as well as the right features: the Large label alone cannot establish finger length, palm fit or cuff compatibility.

Use both hand measurements
Follow the chosen manufacturer's measuring method and product chart. REV'IT!, for example, asks for palm circumference below the knuckles, excluding the thumb, and hand length to the wrist crease. RST also publishes separate hand dimensions. Do not interchange a width measurement with a circumference or transfer one brand's Large label to another without checking.
Check the fit in a riding position
Try both gloves, secure the wrist closures and bend your fingers as you would around the controls. Look for restrictive fingertip pressure, excess material at the ends or a palm that bunches. A comfortable open hand is only part of the assessment. Check the glove with your jacket cuff too, especially when comparing a short cuff with a longer gauntlet.
Choose weather protection deliberately
A ventilated glove, an insulated waterproof glove and a sports glove solve different problems. Compare lining, palm construction, armour, cuff adjustment and any touchscreen feature on the actual model. The L size does not establish any of those specifications. If the proportions do not suit your hand, consider a different glove design rather than accepting excess length just to gain palm room.
