The Spada SP18 is a full-face motorcycle helmet that combines a wide-view outer visor, an internal sun visor and an interior designed for routine care. Its appeal extends beyond a particular graphic: the useful questions concern fit, visibility, ventilation and how the helmet works with your glasses or communication equipment. Keep the SP18 identity clear when comparing it with the older SP17.
Spada specifies an ABS outer shell, two shell sizes and a channelled multi-density EPS liner for the SP18. The manufacturer lists ECE 22.06 and ACU Gold approval. Check the labels on the individual helmet and the organiser's requirements before a track visit, rather than treating an approval as universal permission for every event. The quick-release strap still needs correct adjustment, and a helmet with the right labels must also fit securely.
The outer visor has a wide viewing area, a locking button and a quick-release mechanism. The internal sun visor deals with glare, while an appropriate anti-fog insert addresses moisture on the outer screen. Manufacturer listings vary between Pinlock-ready and an included insert, so confirm the package and the visor fitted. Match the insert to that screen rather than assuming all SP18 visor and insert combinations are identical.
Spada describes glasses-friendly accommodation and communication readiness. Try the helmet with the spectacles you actually use, checking temple pressure and clear visor movement. Communication readiness does not mean that an intercom is included or that every unit fits. Confirm the installation route and speaker clearance before purchase, and never modify the protective shell or EPS to make equipment fit.
The removable, washable Fresh Liner and chin curtain support comfort and routine upkeep. Follow the supplied cleaning instructions and refit every piece securely. Choose SP18-specific visors, vents, spoilers and interior parts by their stated application, not simply by the Spada name. A fresh liner is a comfort replacement, not a repair for crash damage. For a complete helmet, assess the fit before choosing the finish.
Bring your helmet when identifying replacement parts, or visit our showroom with your usual glasses and riding jacket to compare the fit of a complete helmet. We can help separate the helmet, visor and interior choices.
