The Spada Ace is an open-face helmet with a rounded, pared-back shape and a drop-down tinted shield. Its appeal is a simple silhouette for upright road riding, with plain finishes and graphic treatments offering different looks. The important buying decisions are how it fits, what eye protection the journey requires and whether an open face gives the coverage you want.
The Ace has no chin bar, so the lower face remains exposed. A lowered shield can help manage light at the eyes, but it does not turn the helmet into a full-face design. Consider the wind, rain and debris exposure on your usual route before choosing this format. Riders who want enclosed face coverage should compare a suitable full-face alternative rather than choosing the Ace for appearance alone.
Spada's dedicated Ace chart differs from many broad helmet size tables. Measure your head and use that specific chart to decide which sizes to try, then assess the actual fit. Keep the helmet on long enough to notice concentrated pressure around the temples or forehead. A size label shared with another Spada model does not mean the internal shape or fit will be identical.
Try your usual eyewear with the shield lowered and raised. The arms should sit comfortably and the shield should clear your glasses without contact. Think about low light as well as bright daylight when planning eye protection. Check the markings and instructions for any replacement shield, and do not assume that a similar-shaped part from the Hellion or another open-face helmet belongs on the Ace.
Feridax's Spada catalogue illustrates the Ace in several plain and graphic treatments. These are examples of the same model family, not reasons to accept a poor fit or expect a particular finish to remain available. Confirm the approval label, fastening and package details on the individual helmet. Store it where it cannot be knocked, inspect its strap and lining regularly, and follow its care instructions rather than using aggressive household cleaners.
Bring your helmet when identifying replacement parts, or visit our showroom with your usual glasses and riding jacket to compare the fit of a complete helmet. We can help separate the helmet, visor and interior choices.
