Simpson M30

Simpson M30 helmets reinterpret the brand's late-1970s and early-1980s RX-1 shape as a modern full-face road helmet. This collection brings together solid colours, Carbon, Lifter and Slipline graphics, so the decision is mainly about fit, shell finish and the look you want rather than choosing between unrelated helmet types.

What the M30 is designed for

The M30 is a full-face road helmet, not an open-face cruiser lid. Simpson's current model information describes tri-blend composite and 3K carbon shell options, three shell sizes, a multi-density EPS liner, a removable comfort liner and internal routing for communication equipment. Current M30 versions are listed by Simpson as meeting ECE 22.06 as well as DOT requirements.

How to choose a Simpson M30

• Measure first: take a fresh head measurement and use Simpson's size chart rather than transferring a size from another brand.
• Check the shape on your head: the helmet should hold evenly around the crown, with no sharp pressure and no easy rotation.
• Choose construction deliberately: compare the composite and carbon listings if shell finish and weight are priorities.
• Plan communications: the M30 has provision for modern communication systems, but the intercom itself is not part of these helmet listings.
• Inspect the exact approval label: rely on the label inside the helmet and the chosen product page, particularly if you are comparing regional versions.
