Racer Bridge gloves pair a restrained leather appearance with insulation and a waterproof membrane. The short cuff makes them a different proposition from a long winter gauntlet, so sleeve compatibility deserves as much attention as colour or styling.

A short glove for cooler journeys

Racer distributor DPC specifies goatskin, Fiberfill insulation and a Polymax waterproof membrane for Bridge. That combination is intended for weather protection rather than open-mesh summer ventilation. Warmth remains dependent on fit, exposure and journey length; choose around your actual riding conditions.

Check the wrist-to-sleeve join

Try Bridge with the jacket you plan to wear. With your hands reaching towards the bars, check that the sleeve and cuff still overlap and that neither fastening pulls the other out of position. A short cuff can be convenient in town, but it gives you less overlap to work with than a gauntlet.

Feel the controls through the glove

Close your hand around a grip and check fingertip space, palm bunching and pressure across the knuckles. The wrist adjustment should retain the glove without restricting movement. Avoid choosing a tight size to compensate for spare finger length; compare the overall hand shape and consult the care label before cleaning leather.
