The Nexx SX.10 is a compact open-face helmet family with a distinctive ventilation cover, an outer shield and an internal sun visor. Its appeal is in everyday urban and scooter use, while choosing one well means looking beyond the compact silhouette to fit, visibility and the specific version's equipment.
Nexx describes the SX.10 with an ATR/PC shell and its Cooling Cover ventilation system: one cover movement operates two inlets and three outlets. That is a useful control to familiarise yourself with before riding. The open-face format leaves the chin uncovered, so compare it with a full-face helmet if you want a protective chin section.
The outer shield and internal tinted visor are separate pieces. During a fitting, check that each moves freely and that the inner visor clears your glasses and nose. When buying a replacement, specify whether you need the outer shield, inner screen or another fitting. SX.10 naming does not establish compatibility with SX.60, SX.100 or later Nexx models.
A compact helmet still needs to fit your head securely. Adjust the micrometric strap and allow time to assess the lining rather than choosing a size solely to fit a scooter storage compartment. If storage matters, measure or test the actual compartment with the helmet; vehicle openings and usable space vary.
Nexx's SX.10 technical sheet describes a fixed comfort lining and preparation for the SX.COM system. Do not assume removable liners or compatibility with every later intercom. Follow the model's cleaning instructions, and check both the proposed electronics and the mounting arrangement before adding equipment.
