Just1 J38 helmets provide a motocross-style layout with a peak and an eye opening for goggles. When comparing a J38, consider the complete riding setup and the exact approval generation, particularly if the helmet is intended for organised off-road events.
The manufacturer’s J38 listing identifies a thermoplastic resin shell, double D-ring retention and ECE 22.05. It also describes five intake and four exhaust vents. Do not substitute specifications from a similarly named later model. Check the actual label and your event requirements before deciding whether a particular helmet meets your intended use.
Fasten the strap during a fitting and practise threading the double D-rings. Check cheek support without choosing an oversized helmet to avoid pressure. Wear your goggles to assess the frame clearance and strap position, then look forward in a standing riding posture. If you ride with a brace, check the combination together.
Just1 lists a removable washable lining and the J.1.E.R. emergency cheek-pad removal system. Follow the instructions for normal cleaning and refitting; emergency release is not a routine sizing adjustment. Keep vents clear using the approved care method, and match any replacement peak or padding to the exact J38 and size. Graphics illustrate the model but do not define its suitability.
Bring your usual riding equipment when comparing helmets. If you need a replacement component, bring the helmet or its exact model, version and size details.
