Icon Hooligan is a street-riding equipment family, spanning lightweight gloves and clothing rather than one fixed set of products. Its appeal is easy movement and ventilation, but the right choice depends on the particular garment, its protection specification and the weather you expect to ride in.
The Hooligan CE glove uses a polyester mesh backhand and Ax Laredo synthetic palm with a wrist closure. Icon also offers an insulated Hooligan glove, so the family name is not a promise of identical airflow or warmth. Compare the exact version and its lining before deciding whether it suits summer journeys or cooler rides.
The Hooligan CE jacket uses a sport fit with pre-curved arms, a polyester chassis and Iron Weave mesh ventilation. Icon specifies shoulder, elbow and back D3O protection for that jacket. Hooligan jeans have also used a wider leg, Cordura denim, flex panels and ventilation above the knees. Jacket specifications must not be transferred to gloves or jeans just because they share the badge.
The cited Hooligan CE glove is listed to EN 13594:2015 Level 1, while the cited CE jacket is Class A under EN 17092-4:2020. These describe different product tests and cannot be compared as one shared rating. Check the individual item's supplied information, including which protectors are present and whether they remain correctly positioned when seated.
Close a glove around the grips and reach the levers without fingertips pulling tight or excess palm material gathering. For clothing, bend the arms and knees into your riding position and check overlap at cuffs and waist. Mesh is intended to admit air; choose separate weather protection when needed rather than treating a ventilated garment as waterproof.
Visit our showroom with the riding kit you normally use. We can help compare fit, check how separate pieces work together and identify the right model before you choose.
