Caberg Duke X is the ECE 22.06 P/J successor to the Duke and Duke II, retaining the practical flip-up format and integrated sun visor. It suits a comparison centred on everyday controls, secure fit and equipment level, especially because the Smart version has a different Pinlock specification.
Caberg describes a renewed chin-guard opening system for the Duke X. Its P/J approval covers the specified open and closed configurations, with the selector used to secure the front in the raised position. Learn that operation from the manual before setting off, and make sure the helmet remains stable when you move your head.
The manufacturer lists the standard Duke X with a Pinlock insert, while Duke X Smart has a Pinlock-prepared visor. Prepared does not mean that the insert is supplied. Read the exact product specification and contents when comparing prices so that the helmet and any separate insert meet your needs together.
Try the micrometric fastening and adjust the strap carefully. Keep the helmet on long enough to notice any local pressure, then check the sun-visor slider and the chin and top vents with gloves. The removable lining helps with routine cleaning, but it should not be used as a reason to accept a poor initial fit.
Duke X, Duke II and Duke Evo are separate models. Shared visor or liner listings can be useful, but rely on their explicit model and size coverage. For a communication system, the Duke X has provision for Caberg Pro Speak Evo; confirm the chosen kit and installation rather than assuming any speaker or microphone will fit comfortably.
At Moto Central, discuss fit, glasses clearance and the equipment you need for regular journeys. Confirm the exact version and box contents before choosing between a Smart finish and another Duke X option.
