Caberg Duke 2, also written Duke II, is the earlier Duke flip-up helmet. Its appeal is the convenience of a lifting front combined with a separate sun visor. Compare the helmet as its own generation, then check the exact visor, lining or mechanism reference when buying spares.
SHARP records the Duke II as an ECE 22.05 modular helmet, with a five-star result in its November 2019 test and a 90% face-guard locking result across the impacts measured. Those results belong to the Duke II. They should not be transferred to Duke X or Duke Evo simply because the helmets share a family name.
Caberg describes a locking selector for the raised chin section. Follow the Duke II manual when selecting the approved configuration, and check that the front closes and locks properly before riding with it down. During a fitting, operate the controls with your usual gloves and check that nothing catches your glasses or chin.
Pinlock identifies DKS166 for the Duke II visor with Three Component Pins. Use the reference on your visor and the actual insert listing to confirm the match. A lens brand or performance level alone does not identify its shape. Check whether the product you are ordering is an outer visor, an insert or the internal sun visor.
Legend, Tour and plain finishes illustrate different appearances on this model. Start with fit: the helmet should remain secure when you turn your head, with no painful pressure at the forehead. If refreshing an existing Duke II, check its overall condition as well as the worn comfort part before deciding what to replace.
Bring your Duke II model details if you need a replacement part. For a new helmet, a showroom fitting lets you compare the fit and controls of suitable alternatives instead of relying on an old size label alone.
