The Bell Moto-3 brings the unmistakable shape of a late-1970s motocross helmet into a modern range for riders who want genuine heritage styling. Moto Central’s collection includes restrained solid colours and graphic options, with current ECE 22.06 versions alongside one clearly labelled earlier ECE 22.05 model.
This is an open-eye-port helmet with a peak rather than a fitted road-style face shield. That makes it a natural match for compatible motorcycle goggles and gives the rider the wide, purposeful look associated with classic motocross and custom-bike culture.
Bell describes the present Moto-3 as a modern recreation of its influential original. Current ECE 22.06 models use a fibreglass-composite shell, an EPS-lined chin bar and three shell sizes, preserving the period look while using contemporary materials and production.
The large eye opening gives excellent space for goggles, but it does not provide the sealed wind and weather protection of a conventional full-face road helmet. Choose goggles that sit evenly in the aperture without pressing on the nose or disturbing the helmet’s position.
Start with head circumference, then check the size chart on the individual product page. A new helmet should feel evenly firm around the whole head, with no isolated pressure point and no easy rotation when the chin bar is moved by hand. Try it with the goggles you intend to use, because frame width, strap position and nose shape all affect the final fit.
Colour is largely a style decision, but the approval standard is not. Most helmets in this collection are named as ECE 22.06; the Fasthouse Old Road Adventure listing is explicitly marked ECE 22.05. Read the exact product title and approval label rather than assuming every Moto-3 is identical, particularly if you need to satisfy an organiser or riding venue.
Before ordering: measure twice, compare your result with the product-specific chart and check that your chosen goggles are designed for motorcycle use. If you are replacing an older Moto-3, do not select a new size solely from the label in the old helmet because fit can change with age and use.
Moto Central brings the available colours and standards together in one focused range, with clear product photography and UK-based support if you want help comparing sizes or checking which listing you need. Our team understands that with a heritage helmet, the fit and the goggle pairing matter just as much as the colour.
No. The Moto-3 has an open eye port and peak. Use suitable motorcycle goggles or other eye protection appropriate to your ride.
No. Current Classic and Flint listings are marked ECE 22.06, while the remaining Fasthouse Old Road Adventure product is marked ECE 22.05. Check the individual listing.
Bell lists a removable, washable interior on current Moto-3 models. Follow the care instructions supplied with your exact helmet and allow the liner to air dry fully.
It should be snug and stable with even contact around the head. The helmet should not roll freely when you move the chin bar, but it should not create a sharp pressure point.
