Axor Apex helmets combine a full-face shape with practical road-riding features. The family spans different versions, so identify the approval label and exact specification before comparing colours or ordering accessories. The most useful comparison is how the helmet fits, how the visor works and what the evidence says about that particular generation.
Axor’s current global Apex page describes an ABS shell, double D-ring strap, an internal sun visor and ECE 22.06 approval. Earlier ECE 22.05 Apex helmets also exist. SHARP awarded the ECE 22.05 model one star out of five in May 2025; that result should not be silently transferred to a different approval version. Check the individual product details and use the model-specific test information when comparing helmets.
The outer visor and internal sun visor do different jobs. Check their controls with gloves on, and make sure any sun visor clears your nose and glasses when lowered. Confirm the anti-fog insert supplied or required by the fitted outer visor instead of assuming every Apex package is identical. Browse anti-fog inserts by the precise compatible visor reference.
Practise the double D-ring fastening before deciding on the helmet. With it adjusted correctly, assess even support around the crown and cheeks, then turn your head as you would for a shoulder check. The shell should not shift independently of your head. Finish and graphic examples help compare appearance, but the right size and shape should determine the shortlist.
At Moto Central we can help you check fit, operate the D-ring strap and identify the specification and visor parts for the version you are considering.
