Merlin Clothing

Merlin Clothing at Moto Central is a protective motorcycle-clothing collection, not a list of every Merlin product. Its current catalogue brings together riding jeans and joggers, leather and textile jackets, riding shirts and protective hoodies. Gloves, boots, helmets, luggage and casual merchandise sit elsewhere in the wider Merlin range.

That distinction helps you compare garments by the job they perform. A waterproof jean, a laminated touring jacket and an air-mesh hoody answer different needs, even when the names share D3O branding. Moto Central keeps the live product selection and colour variants together while the individual listings provide the definitive specification.

What you will find here

• Motorcycle jeans, cargo trousers and joggers: Mason, Macy, Remy and Repton families offer different cuts and weather or construction details. Compare leg length, knee-armour adjustment, hip armour and garment class.
• Leather jackets: Chase, Gable and Alton illustrate perforated, waterproof and classic leather directions. Their certifications, liners and armour packages are not interchangeable.
• Textile jackets: Shenstone and Taos Air focus on airflow, while Akashi Pro is a laminated technical touring jacket and Yoxall uses waxed cotton.
• Riding shirts and hoodies: Axe, Brody, Hamlin and Brecken provide a less conventional outline. They still need product-level checks for complete-garment certification and impact armour.

How to build a practical riding outfit

Begin with the type of journey and the weather. Touring riders may prioritise a verified waterproof shell, vents and jacket-to-trouser connection. Commuters may value easy layering and a less bulky shape. In warm conditions, open mesh can improve airflow but normally needs a separate plan for rain and cold wind.

Check the jacket and trousers together in a riding posture. Armour should remain over the joints, sleeves and hems should maintain coverage and controls should remain comfortable to operate. If a garment is intended to look like streetwear, do not assume it performs like ordinary clothing: use the EN 17092 label and product specification to understand its motorcycle certification.

Care differs across the collection

Merlin publishes separate care methods for leather, waxed cotton and textile kit. Leather should be cleaned gently and dried away from direct heat. Waxed cotton should not be machine washed or tumble dried and may need reproofing. Technical textiles must follow their own labels so membranes and water-repellent treatments are not damaged.

Customer questions

Does Merlin Clothing include the whole brand?

No. This collection is limited to products tagged as protective clothing. Use the main Merlin collection for gloves, boots, helmets and other equipment.

Are all products waterproof?

No. The range includes air-mesh garments, ordinary leather, waxed cotton, waterproof jeans and specific laminated jackets. Check the individual construction and rating where one is stated.

Can I use one cleaning method for everything?

No. Leather, waxed cotton and technical textiles need different treatment. Follow the label and the manufacturer's material-specific care guidance.
