Merlin Casual Clothing

Merlin casual clothing brings together two different types of garment: protective motorcycle hoodies designed for riding, and everyday branded T-shirts. That distinction matters. A relaxed appearance does not tell you how a garment is constructed, so use the individual product specification to confirm certification, armour and intended use.

Protective Merlin hoodies and casual T-shirts

The current Moto Central collection includes Brecken, Hamlin 2, Cody and Stealth Pro hoodies alongside Radford and Truro tees. Brecken uses large air-mesh panels and a double front zip to increase airflow, while Hamlin 2 takes a more traditional heavyweight hoodie approach. Both are certified to Class AA. Cody and Stealth Pro offer further riding-focused constructions, but their armour and certification should be checked on the exact product page because specifications can vary by model.

How to choose a Merlin hoodie

• Start with use: choose a certified riding hoodie for time on the motorcycle. A Merlin casual tee is suitable for everyday wear or as a base layer, not as the protective outer layer.
• Check the exact certification: Brecken and Hamlin 2 are Class AA garments. For Cody, Stealth Pro and any replacement model, read the product page rather than assuming the whole range shares one rating.
• Allow room for armour: shoulder, elbow and optional back protection can change how a hoodie sits. Compare the size guide with a well-fitting garment and check reach at the shoulders and sleeves in a riding position.
• Think about airflow: Brecken is the more ventilation-led option, while a heavier brushed construction can suit cooler conditions. Neither choice replaces a waterproof layer when rain is expected.
• Inspect connection and hood details: confirm whether the model can connect to riding jeans or trousers, and make sure the hood remains secure and comfortable around your helmet and jacket collar.
