John Doe motorcycle gloves combine understated styling with practical choices for the controls, cuffs and conditions you ride in. Compare leather, mixed-material and ventilated designs by how they fit your hand and work with your jacket. Appearance is only one part of choosing a glove you can comfortably use throughout a journey.
A close-fitting glove can give useful feedback through the bars, while a warmer or weather-resistant design may suit longer rides in changeable conditions. Check the actual lining and waterproof specification rather than treating leather, a dark colour or a substantial cuff as proof of weather protection. Ventilated designs have a different role from insulated gloves.
John Doe’s Durango Black/Camel is one example of mixed construction: the manufacturer describes cowhide with cotton twill, a padded palm and a press-stud wrist. Features and certification can vary by model year, so use the information for the exact pair.
Fasten both gloves, curl your fingers around an imaginary grip and reach for the brake and clutch. Look for enough finger length without loose fabric bunching across the palm. A secure wrist closure matters independently of how the outer cuff overlaps your sleeve. Try that overlap with your riding jacket, especially if you intend to use an extra layer underneath.
EN 13594 evaluates motorcycle gloves through several requirements, including retention and mechanical performance. A visible knuckle panel alone does not establish the glove’s rating. Read the supplied label and model specification, then compare protection, dexterity and weather needs together. Follow the maker’s cleaning and drying guidance to preserve the glove’s fit.
Bring your riding jacket to our showroom and compare palm fit, fingertip space and cuff overlap before choosing your John Doe gloves.
