Held Ladies Textile Trousers
1 product
Showing 1 - 1 of 1 product
Held women's textile motorcycle trousers at Moto Central include waterproof touring, adventure and summer mesh options. Membrane construction, protective class, knee and hip armour, ventilation, leg length and matching jacket vary by model, so the right pair should be chosen around the ride and the complete outfit.
The range covers lightweight Class A trousers as well as AA adventure designs with higher-level armour. Some include hip protectors while others provide pockets for optional inserts. Check the exact specification rather than assuming every Held textile trouser offers the same weather or protection package.
Choose by weather and journey
Waterproof touring
Vader uses a waterproof Held-Tex Z-Liner and adds a removable thermal lining for changing temperatures. Its vents, stretch panels and regular, slim and stocky size groups support touring use.
Adventure riding
Tamarack Base combines an AA garment class with Level 2 knee and hip armour, adjustable waist and calf sections, plus removable thigh panels for large ventilation openings.
Hot-weather road use
Tropic 4 Base uses mesh over the upper legs, shins and calves for direct airflow. It is not waterproof and should be paired with a separate rain layer when showers are possible.
Everyday versatility
Other Held trousers balance weather protection, detachable layers, vents and different garment classes. Decide which features are essential before comparing price or appearance.
Protective class, knee armour and hip armour
The trouser's EN 17092 garment class and the level of the impact protectors are separate checks. Vader and Tropic 4 Base are Class A and include Level 1 knee protection. Tamarack Base is AA and includes Level 2 D3O Ghost protectors at both the knees and hips.
Hip armour is optional on Vader and Tropic 4 Base, so check what is supplied before treating the outfit as complete. Use the designated pockets and the compatible item from Held body armour. The protector should sit flat over the hip and remain in place when walking and seated.
How women's textile motorcycle trousers should fit
Measure the waist, hips and inside leg, then compare the size chart for the exact model. Women's regular sizes are offered across the featured trousers, while additional slim or stocky groups are available on selected colours and models. A different proportion group may solve knee or waist fit more effectively than moving up a regular size.
Waist and seat
Fasten the trousers over the intended base layer and sit on the motorcycle. The waistband should remain secure without cutting into the stomach or opening a large gap at the back.
Knee position
The protector must remain centred over the kneecap with the leg bent. Use the model's height adjustment before changing size, then repeat the check on both legs.
Calf and ankle
Close the leg over or inside the intended boot as designed. Adjustment should hold the fabric securely without bunching behind the knee or restricting ankle movement.
Jacket overlap
Check the waistband against the matching jacket in the riding position. The two garments need useful overlap and a connecting zip that closes without strain.
Leg lengths and proportion options
Inside leg affects more than where the hem finishes. If the trouser is too long or short, the knee protector may sit outside its adjustment range and the calf closure may not align with the boot. Use the regular, slim or stocky measurements where offered rather than relying on the nominal size alone.
Try the trousers with Held motorcycle boots or the footwear you intend to use. Confirm that the hem cannot catch the foot controls and that neither the boot nor trouser closure presses against the shin when the ankle is flexed.
Membranes, ventilation and layers
A fixed Z-Liner sits separately behind the outer shell, while a laminate combines functional layers more directly with the outer material. The two constructions can differ in water absorption, drying behaviour and how ventilation feels. Follow the wording on the individual Held specification, including whether pockets are expressly waterproof.
A removable thermal liner adds insulation but can also change available space at the waist, knee and calf. Check armour position with the liner both fitted and removed. Under any model, a close-fitting item from Held base layers helps avoid bulky seams beneath the knee and hip protectors.
Pair trousers with the correct jacket
A connecting zip can help keep the jacket and trousers together, but the matching half and zip length need to be compatible. Pair model families where possible: Tamarack Base with Tamarack Top and Tropic 4 Base with Tropic 4 Top. Vader should be checked against the intended Held touring jacket before purchase.
Browse Held women's textile jackets, join the zip and adopt the riding position. The connection should not lift the trousers or pull the jacket down across the shoulders. If leather is preferred, compare the separate Held women's leather trouser range.
Why compare Held women's textile trousers at Moto Central?
Moto Central brings together Held women's touring, adventure and mesh trousers with live colour and size variants. Product pages identify membrane construction, garment class and armour, making it easier to see why two outwardly similar black textile trousers may suit very different conditions.
Our team can help check waist fit, knee position, leg length, boot overlap and jacket compatibility as a complete system. That helps avoid solving one measurement while creating a protector or connection problem elsewhere.
Customer questions
Are all Held women's textile trousers waterproof?
No. Waterproofing varies by model. Vader and Tamarack Base have stated Held-Tex weather constructions, while Tropic 4 Base is a non-waterproof mesh trouser.
Do all models include hip protectors?
No. Tamarack Base includes Level 2 hip protectors, while Vader and Tropic 4 Base provide pockets for optional hip armour.
Where should the knee protector sit?
It should remain centred over the kneecap in the riding position. Use the height adjustment and check both legs before changing trouser size.
Can Held textile trousers connect to any Held jacket?
No. Confirm the matching zip and intended model pairing. A similar brand or colour does not guarantee compatibility.
Are mesh trousers suitable for rain?
Tropic 4 Base needs a separate waterproof over-trouser for rain. Make sure the outer layer fits without shifting the knee armour.
