Regular Finger Motorcycle Gloves

Regular-finger motorcycle gloves use a manufacturer’s standard hand-length proportions. They appear in sporting, touring, summer and winter designs. Regular length is a fit category, not a weather or protection specification, so compare hand circumference, finger reach and riding function together.

Measure more than one dimension
Use the brand’s sizing chart and measuring method. Held’s chart lists both hand circumference and length and separates regular, short and long versions. Your familiar size in one brand may not give the same finger fit in another. Measure both hands and try the actual glove where possible.
Check the riding grip
Form a relaxed grip with the gloves fastened. Look for fingertips pressing against the ends, excess material folding over the fingers and bunching across the palm. Check thumb reach and knuckle movement too. The useful test is how the glove feels around the controls, not simply how it looks with straight fingers.
Keep fit and specification separate
A correctly proportioned glove can still be unsuitable for your conditions. Compare waterproofing, ventilation, insulation and protection information on the individual model. If regular fingers feel too short but the palm is already right, investigate an alternative length rather than automatically moving to a wider size.
