Motorcycle Tops
12 products
Showing 1 - 12 of 12 products
This focused collection is made up mainly of motorcycle base-layer tops, with a small number of casual tank tops. It does not currently contain armoured riding shirts or protective outer jackets, so choose it for next-to-skin comfort or off-bike wear rather than impact or abrasion protection.
What you will find in this collection
- Warm-weather base layers: short- and long-sleeve designs such as Alpinestars Ride Tech V2 Summer and Richa Summer are intended to sit close to the body beneath riding kit.
- Cool-weather and all-season layers: the range includes products labelled Thermal Wind Block, Winter, Chill Factor and All Season. Warmth, wind resistance and construction vary by model, so use the individual product specification.
- Rukka technical layers: Outlast-labelled and Wool-R products are separate families with different materials and intended uses. Do not assume that features from one apply to the other.
- Casual tank tops: West Coast Choppers and Biltwell tank tops are ordinary casual clothing. They are not motorcycle protective equipment.
How to choose a motorcycle base-layer top
Start with the conditions in which you ride. A lightweight summer layer can help manage comfort beneath ventilated kit, while a winter or wind-blocking layer may be more suitable when temperatures fall. Sleeve length also affects coverage beneath a jacket.
A base layer should sit close enough to avoid bunching without restricting movement or breathing. Check the brand's size guide, especially where products use combined sizes such as XS/S. If you plan to wear it under fitted leathers or a close-cut textile jacket, try the complete layering system in a riding position.
Material, thermal performance and care instructions are product-specific. Follow the garment label, particularly for wool blends and technical fabrics. For the broader range, see our motorcycle base layers.
Choosing from Moto Central
Moto Central brings summer, winter, all-season and casual tops together so you can compare the intended use, sleeve length, size options and brand-specific details before ordering. Product pages show the exact variant information available for each garment, helping you avoid transferring a feature from one range to another.
Customer questions
Are these tops protective motorcycle clothing?
No. The current collection is predominantly base layers, plus a few casual tank tops. None should be treated as a replacement for an approved riding jacket or suit.
Can a summer base layer be worn in winter?
It can still be used as a next-to-skin layer, but it is not designed to provide the same insulation as a winter-labelled product. Choose the full layering system for the temperature and journey.
Should I size up for a base layer?
Not automatically. Technical base layers are commonly intended to fit close to the body, but the correct cut varies by brand and model. Use the listed size guide and allow unrestricted movement.
