Shop motorcycle socks at Moto Central, including road and touring boot socks, motocross and knee-brace designs, summer and thermal layers, waterproof options, heated systems and casual everyday styles.
With almost 200 products in this collection, no single fabric or feature applies to every pair. Sock height, thickness, fibre, membrane construction, heating connection and size format are all model-specific, while a substantial part of the range is casual rather than technical riding equipment.
Motorcycle sock types
Road, touring and adventure socks
Long boot socks from RST, Dainese, Daytona, Falco, Forma, Gaerne, Oxford, REV'IT!, Richa, Rukka and other brands are shaped for different footwear heights and seasons. Padding, compression and moisture-management claims should be checked on the named model.
Motocross and knee-brace socks
MX products include adult and youth sizes, long and over-knee cuts, thick and lightweight variants, plus EVS liner-and-sock combinations. A knee-brace sock is not a knee brace: it is designed to sit with separate protective equipment.
Thermal and waterproof options
Merino and thermal products are aimed at cooler rides. Oxford Hydrocore and other expressly waterproof socks use a membrane construction, but ordinary winter or thick socks should not automatically be treated as waterproof.
Heated motorcycle socks
Keis S302, Merlin Thermavolt and Macna Lava 2.0 use different power arrangements. Vehicle connections, portable batteries, controllers and chargers are not interchangeable, and some accessories may be sold separately.
Summer and technical base layers
Selected Dry, Coolmax and summer-labelled socks focus on warm-weather use. Construction differs between brands, so choose by the individual temperature guidance, fibre and boot length rather than the collection label alone.
Casual and fashion socks
American Socks, Stance, Carhartt, King Kerosin, West Coast Choppers and other lifestyle brands make up a large part of the catalogue. These designs are everyday clothing and should not be assumed to provide motorcycle-specific performance.
How to choose socks for motorcycle boots
Match the sock to boot height
A long sock can extend above touring, adventure or motocross boots, while shorter cuts suit low footwear. Knee-brace designs extend further up the leg. Check where the cuff and any seams will sit against the boot or protector.
Allow for thickness
Thermal, waterproof and heated socks can take up more space than a light technical pair. Recheck boot fit, toe movement and fastening tension with the actual sock you intend to wear.
Use the brand's size chart
The range mixes UK shoe sizes, European sizes, S to XL groupings and one-size products. Do not transfer one brand's size choice to another, especially for compression or heated designs.
Follow the exact care instructions
Merino, membrane and electronic garments need different washing and drying methods. Disconnect removable power components where instructed and never apply heat or charging procedures that are not specified for that product.
Check the complete heated setup: the Merlin Thermavolt socks can connect to a motorcycle 12V supply, while optional rechargeable batteries support off-bike use. Keis and Macna use their own system specifications. Confirm the supplied parts before ordering and do not mix connectors by appearance alone.
Why buy motorcycle socks from Moto Central?
Moto Central brings technical road, touring, motocross, waterproof, thermal and heated options together with casual styles, making it easier to compare the height and purpose of each pair. Current product pages show available sizes and variants across adult and youth ranges.
Our team can help separate boot socks from knee-brace liners, identify whether a heating power source is included and check which design best matches your footwear and riding conditions.
Motorcycle sock questions
Do I need long socks for motorcycle boots?
Not always, but the cuff should sit comfortably relative to the boot top. Taller touring and motocross boots often work better with a longer sock that avoids a cuff trapped inside the shaft.
Are all motorcycle socks waterproof?
No. Waterproofing applies only to products with a stated membrane or waterproof construction, such as the named Oxford Hydrocore designs. Thermal and moisture-managing are different properties.
Will heated socks include batteries?
It depends on the product and variant. Some use a vehicle connection, while portable batteries or starter kits may be separate. Check the supplied-items list and voltage before ordering.
What are knee-brace socks for?
They are long socks or combined liner designs intended to sit beneath off-road boots and separate knee protection. Compatibility, length and upper-sleeve construction vary by model.
