Find motorcycle helmet peaks for off-road, adventure, trials and open-face helmet designs. Whether replacing a damaged peak or changing the finish, match the part to your helmet's mounting system and exact model. Compare the shape, adjustment and supplied fixings as well as the colour before choosing a replacement.

Different helmets use different peak designs
Motocross and off-road peaks
These peaks are shaped around the helmet's off-road design and eye opening. Confirm the full helmet model and generation, including any suffix used in the parts listing. SHOEI publishes separate fitment information for VFX-W and VFX-WR peaks, illustrating why the family name alone is insufficient.
Adventure helmet peaks
An adventure peak needs to work with the helmet's visor and any intended goggle configuration. Check the manufacturer's supported arrangements and the hardware required for each one. Do not assume removing or replacing the peak uses the same parts across different helmets.
Trials helmet peaks
For a trials helmet, check the model-specific attachment and any permitted adjustment. Choose a replacement that preserves the intended fit around the shell and vents. If using the helmet in competition, check the event requirements for the complete helmet and equipment.
Three-stud open-face peaks
Snap-on peaks offer another mounting format. Biltwell's Moto Visor is designed for its own and many other three-snap helmets, but that is not a guarantee for every shell. Confirm the stud arrangement and fit instead of treating three-stud as universally interchangeable.
Check the helmet label before matching the finish
Find the model name and version on the helmet, then compare them with the peak's fitment information. Similar graphics, shell shapes or product names can hide a different mounting arrangement. If you have the original part number, use it alongside the helmet details.
After confirming compatibility, choose the finish. A plain peak may suit several colour schemes, while a graphic replacement can be tied to a particular design. Read whether the finish is gloss or matt rather than relying on how it appears on screen.
Are the screws and fittings included?
Read the package contents before ordering. A replacement peak, a fixing kit and a complete assembly are different purchases. SHOEI's listed VFX-WR replacement, for example, includes a specified screw set; that should not be assumed for every peak.
Inspect the existing fittings and identify any missing components. Browse helmet spare parts for the correct screws or mounting pieces. Use the manufacturer's specified hardware and fitting instructions rather than adapting an unsuitable peak.
Consider clearance and riding position
Check the peak with the visor or motorcycle goggles you use. Where adjustment is provided, follow the manual and confirm a clear view in your normal riding position. Do not assume that a different peak will automatically solve wind noise or buffeting.
A peak is separate from the eye protection provided by a suitable visor or goggles. Keep those requirements in mind when comparing motorcycle helmets and their different configurations.
Look beyond the broken peak
If damage followed an accident, a new external part does not establish that the helmet remains safe to use. Follow the helmet manufacturer's replacement guidance. For routine replacement on an otherwise serviceable helmet, fit the correct parts without drilling or modifying the shell or protective liner.
