Find motorcycle intercom spares for replacing a worn component or setting up another helmet. Compare mounting kits, speakers, microphones and compatible accessories by the exact intercom model. Check the connection, helmet installation and kit contents before ordering, especially when similar product names cover different generations or mounting systems.

Choose the component for the job
Second-helmet kits
A compatible second-helmet kit can prepare another helmet for use with a transferable intercom unit. Check which mount, speakers and microphones are supplied and whether the main electronic unit is included. Cardo lists distinct kits for different PACKTALK families, so the brand name alone is insufficient.
Replacement microphones
Boom and wired microphones suit different installation arrangements. Check the connector, supported intercom model and intended mounting position. The helmet's chin bar and available internal space also matter; choose the configuration supported by both the equipment and helmet instructions.
Speakers and audio kits
Compare device compatibility, speaker dimensions and the supplied fittings. Larger speakers are not automatically suitable for every helmet recess or intercom. A replacement may also require a software setting or firmware update before it operates as intended.
Clamps, plates and adaptors
Mounting accessories can differ even where the intercom units look similar. Check the exact attachment system and helmet application. A helmet-specific adaptor, general mounting plate and complete clamp kit perform different roles and may contain different hardware.
Use the full intercom model name
Record the model and generation from the unit, packaging or connected app. Match that information against the accessory's compatibility list and part number. Do not infer that a speaker, microphone or mount will work because its connector looks familiar.
Cardo's PACKTALK EDGE second-helmet kit, for example, explicitly lists EDGE and PRO compatibility and includes its specified mounting and audio components. That is a defined application, not a general fitment rule for every PACKTALK product.
Check the helmet installation as well
Identify the helmet model and any built-in preparation for an intercom. Check speaker recesses, cable routes and the permitted mount position. Integrated systems can use helmet-specific components that differ from a universal aftermarket installation.
Follow the helmet manual when removing and refitting comfort pads. Do not cut the impact-absorbing liner or drill the shell to create space. If worn pads need replacing, use the correct helmet padding rather than altering it to accommodate unsuitable equipment.
Confirm any software requirements
Some audio upgrades depend on more than a physical connection. Sena's 50R-A0102 Harman Kardon speaker upgrade for the original 50R requires the appropriate firmware and an audio setting in the Sena Motorcycles app. Check the exact accessory instructions rather than applying that procedure to other units.
If a component has stopped working, follow the manufacturer's troubleshooting steps before choosing a replacement. Confirm the fault, connection and relevant settings so a new microphone or speaker addresses the actual problem.
Compare a spare part with a complete system
A second-helmet kit does not necessarily provide another rider with a complete intercom. If you need a separate working system, compare motorcycle intercom kits and read the included unit count and accessories.
Remote controls and connectivity adaptors have their own supported-device lists. Check those separately from audio and mounting compatibility, particularly when combining equipment from different generations.
Bring the intercom and helmet details together
Contact Moto Central with the full intercom model and helmet model before choosing a spare. If visiting our Wolvey showroom, bring the existing component where possible so we can help identify the relevant fitting and part reference.
