Casual Hats & Caps

Motorcycle casual hats and caps finish an outfit for days out, events and time away from the bike. A baseball cap, trucker cap, bucket hat and beanie each offer a different shape and feel. Choose the crown, brim and adjustment that sit comfortably on your head, then compare fabric and branding.

Compare the shape on your head
Caps and brimmed hats
Check crown depth as well as circumference. A structured crown holds a different shape from a softer design, and a curved peak sits differently from a flat one. A bucket hat has a brim around the head rather than only at the front. Try the shape with your usual sunglasses if you wear them together.
Beanies
Look at the depth, stretch and cuff. A turned-up brim can change the way a beanie sits around the forehead and ears. Spada's Gear Beanie illustrates this cuffed style. Check the fit yourself even when the manufacturer uses a one-size description.
Fabric changes the feel
A mesh-backed trucker cap, such as Alpinestars' Heritage Patch design, has a different construction from an all-fabric baseball cap. Belstaff's Phoenix Patch cap illustrates waxed cotton, while other styles use plain cotton, wool or synthetic blends. Compare the exact composition and care instructions.
A brim or waxed finish should not be treated as a stated sun-protection or waterproof rating. If those properties matter to you, look for the individual product's specification rather than relying on its appearance.
Check the adjustment and everyday details
Look at the rear fastening on a cap and whether the available adjustment range suits your head. Check for pressure around the band and that the hat stays comfortable over longer wear. Embroidered logos, woven patches and printed graphics give different finishes, particularly when combined with a branded T-shirt or hoodie.
Keep casual headwear separate from helmet layers
These styles are for everyday wear when the helmet is off. For a layer intended to sit beneath a motorcycle helmet, compare suitable balaclavas and check that helmet fit remains correct. Follow the hat's own cleaning guidance, especially for shaped peaks and treated fabrics.
Find a comfortable crown and brim
Try different hat shapes at Moto Central and bring your sunglasses if you usually wear them together. Check with the showroom before travelling for a particular style.
