Find motorcycle gloves for warm-weather rides, wet commutes and colder journeys at Moto Central. The range includes short-cuff leather gloves, longer sports designs, waterproof touring gloves and heated options. Compare the palm, wrist fastening and finger fit as carefully as the insulation so your gloves work comfortably with the bike's controls.
Start with the conditions you ride in
Summer and dry-weather riding
Look for ventilation, a lighter lining and a palm that lets you feel the controls. Perforated leather and textile panels are different ways to introduce airflow. Check the individual glove's protection specification as well as its summer styling.
Wet commutes and touring
Choose explicitly waterproof motorcycle gloves when rain protection matters. Compare cuff length, the lining construction and how the glove overlaps your jacket sleeve. Waterproofing and warmth are separate features: a waterproof glove can still be designed for milder weather.
Cold-weather journeys
Assess insulation alongside finger movement and grip. If you are considering heated motorcycle gloves, check the exact power arrangement, supplied cables or batteries, controller and size guide. The collection includes Gerbing Xtreme AIR gloves, but equipment included with heated systems varies by listing.
Sports riding
Compare palm reinforcement, wrist retention and cuff coverage. The RST Tractech Evo 4 range includes both long and short versions, giving you a useful starting point for comparing how a sports glove sits with your jacket rather than choosing by appearance alone.
Leather, textile and protection ratings
Leather motorcycle gloves and textile gloves each cover a wide range of designs. Many combine materials, so use the whole glove's specification to compare protection. RST's long Tractech Evo 4, for example, uses a reinforced palm and separate wrist and cuff closures; those are specific features to examine, not promises that apply to every leather glove.
EN 13594 is the standard for protective motorcycle gloves. It includes tests for restraint and mechanical performance, with Level 1 and Level 2 requirements. Knuckle impact protection is an optional test at Level 1 and required at Level 2. Check the marking on the exact glove instead of judging its protection solely by how hard the knuckle shell feels.
Check the fit with your hand around a grip
Follow the manufacturer's measurement guide, then test the fit with your fingers curved. Look for space at the fingertips without loose folds across the palm. You should be able to reach levers and switches without the seams pulling painfully across your knuckles. Fasten the wrist adjustment and check that the glove stays secure.
Try the cuff with your jacket sleeve, including any winter layers you normally wear. Different cuts can change finger length and palm width; our women's motorcycle gloves collection offers another route to finding a suitable shape.
One pair or two? Decide which conditions matter most before buying. A heavily insulated glove and a ventilated summer glove serve different needs. A second pair can be more useful than expecting one construction to feel the same throughout the year.
Motorcycle glove questions
Does a longer cuff mean a warmer glove?
Not necessarily. A longer cuff adds coverage, but warmth also depends on insulation, lining and airflow. Compare long-cuff gloves by their full specification.
Should I size down because leather will stretch?
Do not buy a painful fit on that assumption. Linings, protective parts and different leathers affect how a glove feels and wears in. Start with the brand's size chart and a comfortable, secure fit.
