Shop motorcycle armoured vests and protector shirts at Moto Central, including close-fitting back and chest protectors, multi-zone body-armour jackets, junior systems and electronic airbag products.
The collection name covers several different protection concepts. A passive protector vest, a shirt carrying multiple inserts, an off-road jacket and an electronic airbag system have different coverage, standards, fit requirements and operating instructions. Compare the exact product, not simply the word vest.
Types of upper-body protection
Back and chest protector vests
Products such as the Rukka Kastor AFT, Held Exosafe and Alpinestars Nucleon Flex Pro are wearable passive protectors. Coverage and impact levels remain specific to each named model.
Armour shirts and jackets
RST, Rukka, Scott, Zandona and Alpinestars products in this filter may add shoulder, elbow or other zones to torso protection. They are not automatically certified as road outer garments.
Airbag systems
Alpinestars Tech-Air and Furygan airbag products use their own sensors, electronics, activation rules and post-deployment process. They should not be grouped with ordinary foam or shell protectors.
Adult and junior equipment
Leatt Fusion and Zandona Kids products are designed around younger riders and use their own size ranges. Do not size down an adult protector as a substitute for the correct junior product.
How to choose an armoured vest
Map the protected zones
Check whether the product covers the back, chest, shoulders, elbows or other areas, and read the standard and level stated for each protector. One certified insert does not certify every part of a system.
Check the complete clothing system
Confirm whether the protector is intended over a base layer, beneath a compatible jacket or as part of an off-road kit. The outer garment must leave space without compressing or moving the protection.
Fit in the riding position
Straps, sleeves and panels should hold each protector over its intended area while you reach the controls. Check movement, breathing and head-turning before use.
Follow model-specific care
Protector removal, cleaning, inspection and replacement intervals vary. Electronic airbags also have charging, software, registration and servicing requirements that passive armour does not.
Do not assume universal layering: some systems are designed for particular compatible garments or require measured expansion space. Never place an airbag or protector under or over clothing unless the relevant manufacturers permit that arrangement.
Why buy armoured vests from Moto Central?
Moto Central offers passive torso protectors, multi-zone shirts and jackets, junior equipment and airbag systems in one live range. That makes it possible to compare coverage and fit while keeping each model's standards and operating requirements separate.
Our team can help identify whether a product is passive armour or an electronic system and check which size guide or compatibility information applies. Always complete any registration, setup and inspection required by the manufacturer before riding.
Armoured vest questions
Is every product a vest?
No. The filter includes protector shirts, jackets and electronic airbag systems as well as vest-shaped passive protectors.
Does a Level 2 back protector make the whole garment Level 2?
No. The level applies to the protector and body zone stated in the product documentation. Other zones can use different protectors or no protector.
Can an armour shirt replace a road jacket?
Only if the complete garment is explicitly approved for that role. Many protector shirts provide impact coverage but still need suitable abrasion-resistant outer clothing.
Are all airbag systems operated the same way?
No. Activation, compatible clothing, charging, servicing and deployment procedures vary by brand and model. Follow the exact manual supplied with the system.
