SHAD motorcycle luggage spans everyday carrying and longer touring, from top boxes and panniers to tank bags and soft luggage. The useful starting point is what you need to carry and where it can sit on your bike. Choose the luggage and its mounting parts together, then check the exact motorcycle model and year before ordering.

Build a SHAD luggage setup around your journeys

A top box gives you a single place for commuting essentials or kit removed at a stop. Panniers spread luggage across the sides of the motorcycle, while a tank bag keeps small items accessible when parked. Think through a normal working day and a longer trip separately: the largest case is not automatically the most convenient everyday choice. Helmet storage also depends on the helmet's shape and shell size, so capacity in litres alone cannot settle the question.

Cases, plates and fittings

A SHAD top-case installation needs the appropriate motorcycle fitting and a compatible mounting plate. Check the package contents before adding a plate, because what is included varies by case. For side cases, identify the required fitting family, including 3P or 4P where specified, and check the case against that exact kit.

Tank bags and soft luggage

Click System tank bags require an appropriate fitting for the motorcycle. Other bags may use straps, but a universal attachment still needs suitable anchor points and enough clearance. Consider access to the fuel cap, space at the handlebars and room for a passenger when comparing bag shapes.

Check the complete combination

Use the bike's model year rather than relying only on its registration date. Existing racks, aftermarket exhausts and other accessories are worth mentioning when checking fitment. Read the load limits for the motorcycle, carrier and luggage, and follow the most restrictive applicable limit; extra volume is not permission to add extra weight.

The examples pictured show different ways to carry kit, rather than defining the whole SHAD range. Check each item for weather protection, fittings, locks and accessories included. You can also compare the wider motorcycle luggage collection when deciding between hard cases and soft bags.

Plan the fittings before the trip

Speak to Moto Central with your bike's exact model, year and any existing luggage hardware. Those details make it easier to discuss a SHAD setup that suits your carrying needs.
