Single-layer describes a construction in which the abrasion-resistant fibre is integrated into the main garment fabric rather than added as a separate lining. It does not mean every single-layer product uses the same material or achieves the same certification class.
PMJ names several fabric systems, including Twaron-based T-Tex and T-Tex Pro, stretch-led single-layer fabrics and lighter ventilated materials. The official specification for Deux identifies T-Tex Pro and AAA classification, while current Sum'Air information identifies a stretch Cordura single-layer fabric and A classification.
