PMJ motorcycle jeans and clothing offer a denim-led alternative to the look of conventional riding kit. The choice extends to different trouser shapes, cargo and chino styling, jackets and women's designs. Start with how you want the garment to fit, then compare its fabric construction, protective classification and armour before selecting a wash or colour.

Understand the fabric construction
PMJ's single-layer technology incorporates Twaron fibres into the denim fabric, rather than relying on a separate reinforcement layer. The brand describes different fabric versions, so single-layer construction alone does not tell you a garment's classification. Read the exact model specification and compare how the material feels with the protectors installed.
A specific example: Deux
PMJ lists Deux with T-Tex Pro single-layer fabric and an AAA garment classification. Its knee protectors are adjustable and removable, and the hip protectors are removable. Those details belong to Deux; do not assume that a different PMJ model, or an older version, has the same construction or armour package.
Work out the fit on the bike
Check the waist and hip measurements, then the rise, thigh room and leg shape. Sit with bent knees to assess where the armour and hem finish. Look at the selected leg-length option and how it fits over your boots. A good standing fit can still need adjustment for riding.
Choose the style without overlooking the details
Denim jeans, cargo trousers and chinos can suit different everyday wardrobes, but each needs its own specification check. Look for the garment classification, included protection and care instructions. For jackets, check sleeve length when reaching forwards and confirm how the shoulder and elbow armour sits.
Rain protection is another separate question. Do not infer waterproofing from the appearance of technical denim or its protective classification. Consider any over-clothing you would use on a wet commute and try the layers together.
Our motorcycle jeans and riding trousers provide wider comparisons, while motorcycle jackets help complete the outfit. The PMJ models pictured are illustrations of different cuts and garment types, rather than an exhaustive catalogue.
