Kappa motorcycle luggage offers ways to carry everyday essentials and touring kit on motorcycles and scooters. Top cases, panniers and soft bags solve different packing problems, so start with the space available on your bike and how often you need to remove the luggage. The fixing system matters just as much as the shape or capacity of the case.

Understand the Kappa mounting systems
MONOKEY and MONOLOCK are fitting-system names, not descriptions of luggage size. Kappa uses MONOKEY for top cases and panniers, while MONOLOCK was developed for lighter-duty top-case use, including scooters. MONOKEY CAM-SIDE is a separate side-case attachment design. Match the exact case to the specified plate or carrier rather than assuming similarly named systems will connect.
Start with the motorcycle
Check the model, year and any fitting notes for the rear rack or side carrier. A compatible case does not by itself provide the parts needed to attach it to the bike. Confirm which plate, fitting kit and hardware are included, and which must be ordered separately.
Choose useful capacity
Think about the items you actually pack: work kit, waterproof clothing, shoes or overnight essentials. Check internal shape and opening size for awkward items. If storing a helmet is a priority, compare the case dimensions with your own helmet rather than relying on a litre figure alone.
Hard cases or soft luggage?
A removable hard case is useful when you want a defined storage space that opens at a stop. Soft luggage offers different shapes and packing arrangements for a seat, rack or the sides of a motorcycle. Compare attachment points, access to pockets and how each bag is carried off the bike. Check whether wet-weather protection is built into the bag or depends on a cover or liner.
Allow space for the rider, passenger and existing accessories, and keep within the load limits specified for the bike and luggage hardware. Kappa also covers accessories beyond bags, so check each product on its own application. Explore the broader motorcycle luggage collection if you are still choosing a carrying format.
Choose the system with confidence
Bring the model and year of your motorcycle or scooter, plus details of any existing rack, to Moto Central. This gives us a useful starting point for discussing Kappa luggage and the fittings to check.
