Interphone brings together motorcycle communication and practical electronic accessories, from helmet intercoms to phone mounting and navigation equipment. Build your choice around the connections and mounting points you need, rather than assuming every item in the range works with every other device.

Choose the intercom connection first

The U-COM name spans different systems. As examples, U-COM 6R uses Bluetooth for helmet communication, while U-COM 8R offers Mesh group communication as well as Bluetooth connections for compatible devices. A higher model number alone does not explain which system suits your riding partners.

Interphone identifies compatibility between U-COM 8R and supported Sena Mesh systems. Check the current firmware and the instructions for both units when planning a mixed group. A general Bluetooth connection is not the same as joining a Mesh conversation, and supported functions can differ between pairings.

Comfort inside the helmet

Speaker size, ear-pocket depth and microphone position deserve as much attention as the external controls. U-COM 6R has a removable main module, which is a useful example when comparing charging and storage arrangements. Check the supplied mounting kit against your helmet and make sure cables can be routed as instructed.

Equipment around the cockpit

Interphone also develops smartphone mounts, charging accessories and displays such as SYNC70. Select each part for the actual phone, motorcycle and connection method. A display, its mounting bracket and its power supply need to be considered together, with enough room for the handlebars to move freely.

Buying for an existing setup

Write down the full model codes of the intercom, phone and any motorcycle display before comparing accessories. Check whether a pack contains one or two communicators and whether a replacement part is an audio kit, a mounting component or a complete device. Older Interphone products can have different connectors and controls from newer U-COM equipment.

For a wider comparison, explore helmet intercom systems. If your main aim is navigation from a smartphone, see phone cases and motorcycle mounts and assess the complete installation.
