Arctiva cold-weather clothing and accessories are built around layering for powersports. Base layers, insulating garments and coverage for the head, neck and hands each play a different part. Choose them around your activity level and outer equipment, so warmth does not come at the expense of movement or a comfortable fit.

Understand the role of each layer
Arctiva’s layering guidance describes Evaporator as a moisture-wicking, quick-drying base layer, with Regulator and Insulator garments offering further layering options. These names are useful guides to the system, but the exact fabric, weight and intended position should be checked on each item. Different cuts and generations need their own comparison.
Start next to the skin
A base layer should sit smoothly without pulling across the shoulders or waist. Think about how active the ride will be and whether you need room for an additional layer. Check sleeve and leg lengths in a seated position, where gaps can appear between garments.
Manage the smaller gaps
Balaclavas, neck warmers and glove liners can help complete the outfit. Compare the coverage and material thickness carefully: a long balaclava bib, for example, needs to sit comfortably inside the jacket rather than bunching at the collar.
Keep your existing equipment working properly
Try headwear with your helmet fastened and check that it does not alter its secure fit, obscure vision or obstruct ventilation. Test liners with the outer gloves, including finger movement and reach to the controls. More layers are not automatically more comfortable if they make the outfit too tight.
Cold-weather and snow-sports clothing should be assessed separately from motorcycle impact and abrasion protection. Check the intended use of any outer garment or boot rather than assuming that warmth or weather resistance establishes riding protection.
Explore base layers, balaclavas and neck tubes to plan a system for your journeys.
