Biltwell helmet spares help maintain the fit, fastening and everyday usability of a helmet that remains suitable for service. Liners, cheek pads, shield baseplates and hinge hardware each solve a different problem. Identify the helmet and the worn component before ordering, rather than treating all Biltwell parts as one fitting system.
The manufacturer separates its R22.05 Gringo and Gringo S liner from the R22.06 Gringo family interior. Read the helmet label as well as the size tag, then check the replacement's application. A liner that shares the Gringo name is not automatically suitable for a different generation or shell arrangement.
Baseplates provide the shield's mounting interface, while the visible hardware secures the assembly. Biltwell lists separate Gen 1 and Gen 2 baseplate kits. Its Gen 2 kit has a specified conversion role for certain earlier Gringo S and Lane Splitter helmets, but that does not remove separate shield-closure restrictions. Confirm the complete combination before purchase.
Replacement comfort padding can renew a tired contact surface, but it should reproduce an appropriate secure fit. Record the original liner and cheek-pad references before removing them. Follow the supplied attachment sequence and ensure tabs and fasteners are fully engaged. Do not trim protective material or use new padding to conceal damage elsewhere in the helmet.
Keep original screws and washers organised while comparing the correct replacement kit. Follow Biltwell's instructions for fastening and cleaning rather than applying a general workshop method. Its R22.05 liner guidance specifies hand washing and air drying, not a washing machine or tumble dryer. Bring the helmet and existing component when asking us to help identify a part.
Visit our showroom with the riding kit you normally use. We can help compare fit, check how separate pieces work together and identify the right model before you choose.
