Bering motorcycle clothing spans everyday road riding, urban journeys and longer tours. Choose jackets and trousers by their cut, protection and weather construction, then check how they work together on the bike. Bering’s different fit families are particularly useful when a standard garment fits one part of your body but pulls or hangs loosely elsewhere.

Bering Lakefield Gore-Tex Overalls Black — Lakefield Gore-Tex bib trousers: the pictured upper bib and braces differ from ordinary waist-fastened trousers.

Bering Alias Textile Jacket Sand — Alias textile jacket: an example of Bering’s road-clothing range, shown in a contrasting colour for a clear view of its shape.

Bering Corleo King Size Textile Trouser Black — Corleo King Size trousers: an illustration of a fit option for fuller builds. Check the model’s measurements and leg length.

Choose the outfit around your journey

For commuting, consider how easily you can put the clothing on, carry essentials and manage changing temperatures. Touring brings longer periods in one riding position, making adjustment, usable ventilation and room for layers worth comparing. Sports-style jackets and protective riding jeans offer other combinations of silhouette and practicality; the right choice depends on your riding, rather than a single material or model name.

Bering also makes leisurewear and supporting layers. Keep their purpose separate from protective outer clothing: a familiar logo or a motorcycle-inspired appearance does not establish abrasion protection.

Understand Bering’s fit families

Body Fit is the closer-fitting option, while Regular Fit gives a less fitted silhouette. King Size and Queen Size use patterns intended for fuller builds. These are alternatives to compare against your measurements, not a reason to choose the same letter size across every cut.

Use the chart for the exact garment. Sit in your normal riding posture and check the chest, waist, hips and leg length as appropriate. Sleeves and hems should maintain coverage, and elbow and knee armour should stay over the intended areas. Try trousers with your boots so you can judge the overlap and fastening space.

Separate waterproofing, insulation and ventilation

Bering’s BWTECH names refer to waterproof, breathable membrane options; Shelltech refers to thermal linings. They do different jobs. Read the specific garment description to see which construction is used, whether a liner can be removed and how its vents operate.

The wider range also uses materials such as mesh, technical denim and laminated Gore-Tex. A mesh panel is intended to encourage airflow; it is not itself proof of waterproofing. Likewise, a warm lining is not evidence that the outer garment will keep rain out. Choose the combination for the temperatures and wet-weather exposure you expect, without assuming every Bering textile garment shares one specification.

Read protection and compatibility details separately

Check the garment’s stated classification and the list of included impact protectors. Bering identifies EN 17092 for motorcycle clothing and EN 1621 for impact protection; an armour rating and a garment classification describe different parts of the equipment. Confirm whether a back protector is supplied or needs buying separately.

When pairing a jacket and trousers, verify their connecting system instead of assuming every Bering zip matches. Try the complete outfit with your usual layers and check that fastenings remain accessible. If you use an airbag, follow the instructions for that exact system and outer garment, including fit and expansion space.

Compare Bering cuts in person

Bring your usual riding layers and boots to the showroom. Comparing garments in a riding posture can help you assess the waist, sleeve and leg fit together, rather than relying on the size label alone.
