Product Details
SMK Typhoon Solid MA200 Matt Black is an ECE 22.06 full-face motorcycle helmet for commuting, touring and everyday road riding. Its compact aerodynamic shell combines an understated matt black finish with an internal sun visor, a Pinlock 70-ready clear visor and a removable comfort lining.
The Typhoon is aimed at riders who want practical all-season visibility and ventilation without moving to a flip-up design. Two shell sizes help balance the external profile across the XS to XXL range, while the intermediate-oval fit and washable lining support day-to-day comfort.

Shell, protection and weight
SMK uses an EIRT thermoplastic shell over a multi-density EPS liner. The smaller shell covers XS, S and M, with a listed weight of 1,575 g. The larger shell covers L, XL and XXL at 1,675 g. SMK applies a manufacturing tolerance of ±50 g to both figures.
- Shell 1: XS to M, 1,575 g ±50 g
- Shell 2: L to XXL, 1,675 g ±50 g
- Approval: UNECE Regulation 22.06
- Fit profile: intermediate oval
Visor and ventilation
The fitted clear outer visor is scratch-resistant, quick to remove and prepared for a Pinlock 70 anti-fog insert. The insert is available separately. A lever-operated internal smoke sun visor provides additional glare control without changing the outer visor.
Air enters through the chin and upper vents before moving through internal channels towards the rear exhausts. A breath deflector helps direct exhaled air away from the visor, while the lower wind protector reduces airflow around the chin area.
Comfort and everyday use
The comfort liner is breathable, moisture-managing and hypoallergenic. It can be removed for washing, which is particularly useful for regular commuting or longer touring use. The reinforced chin strap uses a quick-release fastening for straightforward adjustment and removal.
SMK Typhoon size guide
Measure around the widest part of your head, above the eyebrows and ears. Use the measurement as a starting point, then try the helmet on with the strap secured. It should contact the head and cheeks evenly without pressure points and should not move independently when you turn or nod your head.

Questions and answers
Is the SMK Typhoon suitable for commuting?
Yes. Its compact full-face design, internal sun visor, ventilation and removable liner are well suited to regular road use as well as touring.
Does the helmet include a Pinlock insert?
No. The clear visor is Pinlock 70-ready, but the anti-fog insert is a separately sold accessory.
Can an intercom be fitted?
The Typhoon has space within the comfort lining for typical helmet audio components, but fit varies by system. Check the speaker and clamp dimensions before installation. No intercom is supplied.
Moto Central fitting support
Helmet shape matters as much as the tape measurement. Moto Central can help check the fit in store, including crown contact, cheek-pad support and movement with the chin strap secured.
