Rokker Ladies Jackets

Rokker ladies' jackets currently form a compact five-product collection: the Black Jacket Lady Short, two colourways of the Ladies Wax Cotton Jacket, the Maddison Rider Shirt and the Boston Rider Shirt. They share a women-specific collection tag, but they are not five versions of the same construction.

The Lady Short is the most precisely documented of these current products. Rokker specifies a single-layer schoeller-dynatec construction, class A certification and included D3O shoulder, elbow and back protectors. The waxed-cotton jackets and rider shirts should be assessed from their own listings rather than being given the Lady Short's specification by association.

Lady Short, waxed cotton or rider shirt?

Choose the Lady Short when its cropped, straight fit and documented protector package suit your riding position. The waxed-cotton jackets offer a different heritage-led outer fabric and need periodic care to maintain their water-repellent finish. The Maddison and Boston rider shirts provide a softer shirt-like appearance, but their certification, reinforcement and supplied protectors must be checked individually.

Protection and fit checks

• Use the exact certification: Rokker lists the Lady Short as class A. Do not carry that rating across the waxed-cotton jackets or rider shirts.
• Check every protector: the Lady Short includes D3O shoulder, elbow and back protection. Other models may have a different package or prepared pockets.
• Test the riding position: make sure the hem retains useful coverage and the sleeves meet the gloves with your arms bent.
• Watch the elbow position: the protector must stay centred on the joint rather than sitting above or below it.
• Allow practical layers: compare fit with the base or mid-layer you will actually wear, while avoiding excess movement when layers are removed.

Weather expectations and care

Rokker lists coldblack and NanoSphere treatments for the Lady Short, including heat and UV reflection plus enhanced water and dirt repellency. These treatments do not make it a waterproof touring jacket. Waxed cotton is also water-repellent rather than a substitute for a verified waterproof membrane.

Follow each garment's label. Rokker's textile-care guidance says waxed-cotton jackets should be cleaned by hand using a suitable water-based technical cleaner, then re-waxed when needed to restore the finish. Rider shirts and the Lady Short can require different methods, so do not use one care routine across the collection.

Why buy Rokker ladies' jackets from Moto Central?

Moto Central keeps the five live products together while preserving their distinct model names and colourways. That makes it easier to compare a short technical jacket, waxed cotton and rider-shirt constructions, then check current sizes on the individual product pages before ordering.

Customer questions

Does every Rokker ladies' jacket include D3O armour?

No. Rokker specifies D3O shoulder, elbow and back protection for the Lady Short. Confirm the supplied protectors on every other product separately.

Are the waxed-cotton jackets waterproof?

Do not treat waxed cotton as a waterproof membrane. Its finish can repel limited moisture when maintained, but sustained rain requires an expressly waterproof layer.

How should a short motorcycle jacket fit?

It should remain secure and retain useful coverage in the riding position, with the shoulder and elbow protectors correctly centred and no restrictive pulling across the back.
