Icon Patrol 3

Showing 1 - 2 of 2 products
The Icon Patrol 3 WP CE is a low waterproof motorcycle boot for road riders who want weather protection without a tall touring-boot shaft. This collection contains the black and grey colourways of the same model. Both use an engineered textile and 1000D polyester upper, a Cosmo HBR waterproof-breathable lining and the BOA Fit System.
Internal D3O inserts cover the ankles, a shifter overlay reinforces the toe area and a nylon midfoot shank adds structure through the sole. A high-rebound EVA insole provides cushioning, while the grooved rubber outsole is designed for slip-resistant grip.

Waterproof construction
Icon specifies a Cosmo HBR waterproof-breathable boot lining. It is intended to keep external water out while allowing some moisture vapour to escape, but comfort still depends on temperature, socks and activity. Pull waterproof trousers over the boot opening so rain does not run directly inside from above.
BOA adjustment and fit
The BOA system uses a micro-adjustable dial, lightweight lace and low-friction guides to distribute tension. Set it firmly enough to prevent heel lift without creating pressure over the instep. The ankle inserts should remain centred over the ankle bones, and your toes should have room to move without sliding forward during braking.
- Use the exact product-page size guide and measure both feet.
- Try the boots with the socks and trousers you normally wear on the bike.
- Check that the trouser hem covers the boot opening in rain.
- Inspect the BOA dial, lace and guides before each ride.
- Confirm comfortable gear-lever and rear-brake movement before longer use.
Protection and certification
Icon states that the Patrol 3 WP CE is tested to EN 13634:2017 with a 1 1 1 1 WR SRA marking. The WR marking relates to water resistance, while the boot's physical protection includes D3O ankle inserts, a shifter overlay, structured upper and reinforced midfoot shank. Its low cut is practical for walking and commuting, but offers less shin coverage than a tall boot.
Care and maintaining water resistance
Brush off dry dirt and wipe the upper with a damp cloth, following the supplied care instructions for deeper cleaning. Avoid puncturing the lining and let wet boots dry naturally away from radiators or direct heat. Dirt around the upper, seams and lace guides can affect comfort and function, so inspect and clean those areas regularly. Replace footwear that has been structurally damaged in a fall.

Customer questions
Are Icon Patrol 3 boots waterproof?
Yes. Icon specifies a Cosmo HBR waterproof-breathable lining and publishes an EN 13634 WR marking.
What is the difference between black and grey?
No construction difference is stated. They are colour choices of the same Patrol 3 WP CE boot.
How should the BOA closure feel?
It should hold the heel and ankle securely without pressure or numbness across the instep. Follow the supplied instructions for operation and release.
Is this a tall touring boot?
No. It is a low boot with ankle protection and waterproofing, so it provides less shin coverage than a full-height touring design.
