Shop Gaerne GX-J kids motocross boots in five colourways for young off-road riders. GX-J combines a youth-specific size range with Gaerne's ATP ankle-support system, four adjustable buckles and a welted composite motocross sole.
Every product in this collection is a kids-labelled GX-J motocross boot. The colours differ, but the core construction is shared. Choose by fit and available size first, then select the colour that suits the rider's kit.

GX-J construction and rider support
ATP ankle structure
Gaerne's Anti-Torsion Pocket system uses guided support points to limit front and rear overextension while allowing controlled natural flex.
Protective upper
The lightweight upper includes an anatomically shaped PU-injected shin plate, reinforced heel and internal toe. Microfibre instep inserts add flexibility where the foot needs to move.
Adjustable four-buckle closure
Four lightweight replaceable buckles and an upper hook-and-loop strap secure the boot. The two upper buckles can be repositioned for larger calves or knee-brace clearance.
Welted motocross sole
Gaerne uses a Goodyear-welted construction with a composite sole developed for grip on motocross footpegs. The construction also allows specialist resoling where appropriate.
Colours and sizes in this collection
Moto Central's five GX-J listings cover black and blue, black and orange, black and red, black and white, and grey with fluorescent yellow. Individual size availability varies by colour, so compare the live options on each product page rather than assuming every colour has the same stock.
Gaerne's current official GXJ size range runs from EU 33 to EU 41. Some Moto Central listings may offer only part of that range at a given time. A European size number alone does not confirm fit, particularly for a growing rider.
Fit before growth room: avoid choosing an excessively large boot solely to make it last longer. Too much heel lift or sideways movement can reduce control and prevent the ankle support and closures from sitting correctly.
How should kids motocross boots fit?
Measure both feet while the rider is standing and use the larger measurement. Try the boots with motocross socks, riding trousers and the knee protection that will be worn on the bike. Toes should clear the front, the heel should remain seated and the foot should not slide across the footbed.
Start with each strap near the middle of its adjustment. Fasten the four buckles progressively from the lower foot upwards and check that the upper closes around the calf or knee brace without forcing the hardware. The boot should feel supportive, but numbness, sharp pressure or crushed toes means the fit needs attention.
Ask the rider to move between seated and standing positions and operate the gear lever and rear brake. Recheck sizing and buckle adjustment regularly as the rider grows, and replace boots that no longer fit correctly even if the exterior still looks usable.
Motocross sole, comfort and airflow
The GX-J composite sole uses motocross-specific tread intended to grip cross-pegs, including in wet or muddy riding. It is not the same as an Enduro sole designed to provide deeper walking traction away from the bike.
Stamped suede on the inner side adds bike contact and heat resistance. Inside, soft foam reinforcement around the ankle works with a textile mesh lining, while an anatomical interchangeable footbed supports comfort. These features do not make the boot waterproof.
Certification and construction
Gaerne states that the current GXJ is CE certified to EN 13634:2017 under EU Regulation 2016/425 and made in Italy. Certification confirms testing to the stated motorcycle-footwear standard, but it does not remove the need for correct fit, maintenance or the rest of the rider's protective equipment.
The Goodyear-welted build can support resoling, but a specialist should first assess the upper, ankle-support components and overall condition. A new sole is not appropriate if the protective structure is damaged or the boot has become too small.
Care and regular safety checks
Remove mud before it hardens around the sole edge, buckles and ATP support areas. Clean with products suitable for the materials and allow the boots to dry naturally away from direct heat. Avoid forcing closures or using high-pressure water around openings and hardware.
Before each ride, check the sole, shin plate, heel, toe, inner contact panel, buckles and straps. Gaerne lists extra-long replacement straps specifically for GXJ kids boots, but exact part compatibility should always be confirmed before ordering.

What sizes does Gaerne list for GXJ?
The current official range is EU 33 to EU 41. Check each Moto Central colour page for the sizes presently available.
Will GX-J fit with a knee brace?
The upper two buckles can be repositioned to provide more room. Always try the exact brace and riding trousers with the boots.
