The Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS bridges the gap between a road full-face helmet and a dedicated motocross design. Its integrated face shield suits road miles, while the adjustable peak and goggle-compatible layout give riders useful flexibility when a route moves onto trails or unsealed tracks.
Moto Central’s range brings together solid colours and touring-inspired graphics, all clearly listed to the current ECE 22.06 standard. Mips rotational-energy-management technology is part of the model’s specification, along with speaker pockets for a compatible communication system.
Keep both fitted for everyday adventure riding, where the shield gives wind and weather coverage and the peak helps with low sun and loose debris. Check the peak position if you notice extra lift or noise at speed.
Bell describes the helmet as goggle compatible for off-road sections. Choose a frame that fits the eye port without lifting the helmet, and confirm the shield, peak and goggle combination you intend to use before setting off.
Adventure helmets carry more external hardware than a simple road full-face design, so the correct fit is especially important. Measure the head level above the eyebrows, then use the chart on the exact product page. The crown should feel evenly supported and the cheek pads should hold the helmet stable without creating a painful pressure point.
Bell quotes approximately 1698 g, plus or minus 50 g in size M. Actual weight varies by size and configuration. If most of your riding is sustained motorway travel, compare the peak, airflow and noise characteristics with a conventional road helmet. If you regularly alternate between tarmac and trails, the MX-9 Adventure MIPS avoids carrying separate road and off-road helmets.
Approval and event checks: the active helmets in this collection are listed as ECE 22.06. Always confirm the label in the delivered helmet, and check any additional requirements set by your event organiser before competitive use.
Moto Central gives you a broad choice of current colours with clear product naming, detailed images and UK support when you need to compare sizes or accessories. We can also help distinguish the complete helmets on this page from model-specific replacement liners and parts elsewhere on the site.
Bell describes the MX-9 Adventure MIPS peak as adjustable and removable. Follow the supplied instructions and retain the correct fittings when changing the configuration.
The current model includes speaker pockets for a compatible communication system. Check speaker diameter, clamp or adhesive mounting space and microphone routing before installation.
Yes. Mips is included in the MX-9 Adventure MIPS specification and is designed to help manage rotational motion in certain impacts.
Buy a shield listed specifically for your MX-9 Adventure generation. Compare the helmet label and the accessory compatibility information rather than choosing by appearance.
