- Confirm whether the pocket accepts a loose insert, hook attachment or another fixing.
- Check whether the product is supplied singly, as a pair or within a full replacement kit.
- Do not cut or fold a protector to force it into a pocket.

Certification and coverage
Shoulder impact armour is assessed as a motorcycle limb-joint protector under EN 1621-1. Listings can specify Level 1 or Level 2 and may state a coverage type.
