Inuteq personal cooling products use evaporative or phase-change technology to provide additional comfort in warm conditions. The Moto Central range includes cooling vests, PCM CoolOver garments and inserts, a bandana, neck cooler and cooling towel. They work in different ways, so the first choice is the cooling technology rather than colour alone.



Choose the right cooling technology
- Inuteq DRY: water is held inside the product so the inside and outside remain dry in normal use. Smart-X is filled with 500 ml of water, and performance varies with temperature, airflow and humidity.
- Inuteq H2O: the garment or accessory is soaked to activate evaporative cooling. Inuteq quotes approximately 2 to 8 hours per activation for products such as Bodycool Basic, depending on conditions.
- Inuteq PAC: bio-based phase-change inserts provide cooling around their stated phase temperature after correct activation. The collection includes 6.5, 15, 21 and 24 degree options.
- Hybrid: Bodycool Hybrid combines H2O evaporative fabric with pockets for PAC inserts. The product listing is for the vest only, so the required PCM inserts must be ordered separately.
Evaporative cooling and riding conditions
Evaporative products rely on water leaving the material, so airflow and humidity affect the result. They can be useful beneath suitably ventilated clothing, but performance may reduce in very humid conditions or under a garment that prevents evaporation. A dry-feeling DRY vest and a soaked H2O product also create different wearing experiences.
Inuteq states that Bodycool Smart-X can provide cooling for up to 72 hours in suitable conditions. Treat this as a maximum affected by ambient temperature, airflow and humidity, not a fixed duration for every journey.
Understanding PCM temperatures
The number in a PCM product title is its phase-change temperature, not a promise that the surrounding air or the rider's body will remain at that temperature. Lower-temperature packs feel colder and require different activation conditions. Follow Inuteq's instructions for the selected 6.5, 15, 21 or 24 degree product and confirm that the sensation suits the intended use.
Fit and layering
- Choose a close but comfortable fit so the cooling area can work effectively.
- Try the complete riding outfit with armour installed and arms extended to the controls.
- Check that the vest does not restrict breathing, shoulder movement or jacket closures.
- Allow for the additional thickness and weight of PCM inserts when using a compatible carrier.
- Use the exact activation, washing and storage instructions supplied with the product.
Smaller cooling accessories
Headcool Bandana, Neckcool Pro and the Body Cooling Towel offer localised cooling without the coverage of a vest. Inuteq lists H2O evaporative technology for the bandana and neck cooler, while the standard towel uses PVA evaporative material. Check that any headwear does not affect helmet fit or create pressure points.
