The current Hiplok range at Moto Central spans portable D-locks, motorcycle disc locks, fixed anchors, heavy chains, keyed-alike bundles and smaller security accessories. It includes products developed for motorcycles as well as equipment that can also be used with bicycles, e-bikes and other compatible vehicles.
Hiplok's 1000 Series is designed around resistance to angle-grinder attack. The wider collection also includes different levels of portable and fixed security, so the right choice depends on what you are securing, where it will be parked and how you plan to carry or install the equipment.

Understanding the Hiplok collection
D-locks and disc locks
D1000 and DX1000 are portable D-lock formats, while MD1000 and MDX are designed to attach to a compatible motorcycle brake disc. Check the usable internal dimensions or disc clearance rather than choosing by appearance alone.
Anchors and fixed security
A1000 and AX1000 create a fixed locking point when correctly installed into a suitable substrate. Installation location, fixing method and compatibility with the chosen lock all need to be checked before purchase.
Chains, links and bundles
The range includes the Mega Chain, L1000 Link and bundles that combine compatible 1000 Series components. Check the supplied contents carefully because a chain, link, anchor and lock may be listed separately or as a set.
Portable accessories
Carry pouches, sleeves and compact Z Lok products serve different jobs from the main motorcycle security devices. A lightweight security tie is useful for suitable low-risk items, but it is not a substitute for a substantial motorcycle lock.
How to choose Hiplok motorcycle security
- Start with fit: compare the internal opening or disc-lock dimensions with the part of the motorcycle you intend to secure.
- Plan the complete setup: decide whether you need portable wheel immobilisation, a fixed locking point or both.
- Check transport: consider the weight and how the lock will be carried without becoming loose luggage.
- Read the individual rating: security classifications and warranty terms are model-specific and should be checked on the product page.
- Layer compatible devices: using more than one type of security can make the motorcycle harder to move, but no lock can guarantee theft prevention.

Customer questions
Is every Hiplok product intended for motorcycles?
No. This brand collection includes motorcycle products, bicycle security and accessories. Check the individual product description and dimensions for the intended use.
What is the difference between a D-lock and a disc lock?
A D-lock closes around a compatible wheel, frame component or fixed point. A disc lock attaches through the brake disc to prevent wheel rotation. Fit and carrying requirements differ.
Do I need a chain with a Hiplok 1000 Series lock?
Not for every setup. Some riders use a D-lock directly, while others add a compatible chain, link or anchor to reach a fixed point. Check the contents and compatibility of each product or bundle.
