This D3O collection at Moto Central is focused on motorcycle impact protectors. It includes back, chest, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and knee-to-shin inserts from D3O and partner brands including Belstaff, Richa and Rukka. Protection level, dimensions, coverage, garment compatibility and whether a product is supplied singly or as a pair all vary, so the right choice starts with the pocket and body zone named by the garment manufacturer.
Back protectors
Back inserts make up a substantial part of the range. Named products include D3O Viper Level 2, Viper Pro Level 2 and Viper Stealth Level 1, together with Belstaff Viper and Richa Viper or Viper Air options. Rukka XTR products provide another garment-specific route. A Level 1 and Level 2 version can look similar while differing in thickness, performance and fit.
Motorcycle back protectors are assessed to the relevant EN 1621-2 standard. The certification level does not tell you whether an insert will fit a particular jacket. Check the garment manual or pocket dimensions, then match the protector reference and size. Some back pads are available in several sizes, and a larger pad should not be folded or trimmed to make it fit.
Shoulder, elbow, hip and knee armour
The limb-protector selection includes Ghost Level 1 and Level 2, T5 Evo X Level 1, T5 Evo Pro X Level 2, TriVent and LP2 Pro products. It also includes Richa, Rukka and Belstaff-labelled protectors built around D3O technology. Limb protectors are assessed to EN 1621-1, but level and optional test conditions remain product-specific.
Shoulder, elbow, hip and knee pieces can differ in curvature and coverage even when they share a material family. Some listings combine compatible body zones, such as knee or elbow, while others are dedicated to one position. Keep the marked orientation and left or right placement stated by the product or garment instructions.
Chest and knee-to-shin protection
Chest products include Rukka CP1 and Richa Level 1 inserts. They may be supplied as a divided set intended to sit either side of a jacket zip. Motorcycle chest protectors use the EN 1621-3 framework, which is different from the standards used for back and limb protectors.
The Rukka Air XTR knee and shin set extends beyond a conventional knee insert. This does not mean every knee protector in the collection covers the shin. Compare the stated body coverage and the shape of the receiving pocket before ordering.
Understanding Level 1 and Level 2
Level 1 and Level 2 describe impact-transmission performance within the relevant protector standard. Level 2 has a lower permitted transmitted-force threshold than Level 1, but it can also be thicker or shaped differently. Comfort, ventilation, coverage and garment fit still matter because the protector must remain correctly positioned while riding.
Do not transfer the level from one D3O family to another. Ghost is stocked in both Level 1 and Level 2 forms, as are several back-protector families. T5 Evo X and T5 Evo Pro X listings in this collection also carry different stated levels. Use the exact product title, listing and protector markings as the reference.
How to choose a replacement or upgrade
Check the garment
- Find the armour pocket and the garment maker's compatible protector reference.
- Measure the pocket only if the manufacturer permits dimension-based matching.
- Confirm the body zone, protector size and required left or right orientation.
- Check whether the pocket closes securely without folding the insert.
Check the product
- Confirm Level 1 or Level 2 on the exact listing.
- Check whether the price is for one protector, a pair or a divided set.
- Compare coverage, ventilation pattern and thickness with the space available.
- Retain labels and instructions that identify its standard and intended use.

Installation and care
Insert the protector with the marked face and orientation positioned as instructed. Close the pocket fully, put the garment on and check in a normal riding posture that the armour covers the intended area without rotating, bunching or creating a pressure point. A loose garment may allow even the correct protector to move.
Remove protectors before washing a garment when its care label instructs you to do so. Do not machine wash, expose to strong chemicals, cut, drill or heat a protector unless the manufacturer expressly permits it. Inspect it after an impact and periodically during normal use. Follow the named product's replacement guidance if it is damaged, permanently distorted or has been involved in an incident.
Why buy D3O protectors from Moto Central?
Moto Central stocks D3O protectors across several body zones, levels and partner-brand applications. Keeping the products together makes it easier to compare a low-profile Ghost insert with a ventilated Viper Air back protector, a T5 Evo limb pad or a garment-specific Rukka or Richa option. Detailed listings help identify the level, size and supplied quantity before purchase.
Customer questions
Will any D3O protector fit my jacket or trousers?
No. Match the exact garment pocket, body zone, protector dimensions and manufacturer reference. Shared D3O branding does not make different shapes or generations interchangeable.
Is every product in this collection Level 2?
No. The range contains both Level 1 and Level 2 products. The level is stated on the individual listing and protector marking.
Are limb protectors supplied as a pair?
Some are pairs or sets, while other listings may be for a single insert. Check the product title and supplied-contents information before ordering.
Can I trim a back protector to fit?
Do not cut or modify a certified protector unless the manufacturer explicitly allows it. Choose the correct reference and size for the garment instead.
