Biltwell motorcycle helmets combine recognisable custom-bike styling with several distinctly different formats. Moto Central's live range covers the shieldless Gringo, shielded Gringo S, ventilated Gringo SV, angular Lane Splitter and open-face Tahoe, so choosing by coverage, shield system and airflow is more useful than choosing by colour alone.
The standard Gringo has a full-face chin bar and open eye port without an integrated shield. Five-snap Gringo blast shields and suitable goggles are separate options.
Gringo S adds a hinged shield. Gringo SV uses the same shielded idea and adds adjustable brow vents plus further front, side and rear venting.
Lane Splitter has its own angular shell, treated polycarbonate shield and ventilation layout. Its shields and interior parts are model and generation specific.
Tahoe provides open-face coverage with an integrated bubble shield. Biltwell states that Tahoe has its own shields, hardware and interior components.
The current helmet families are offered in ECE 22.06 versions, but older ECE 22.05 parts still appear in the wider accessories catalogue. The approval label inside the helmet is the safest starting point when ordering shields, liners or cheek pads.
Measure around the widest part of your head and use the current size chart for the exact model. A new helmet should feel evenly secure without painful pressure, lift at the crown or movement at the brow. Biltwell notes that its newer ECE 22.06 helmets can fit more snugly than comparable earlier versions, so do not order automatically from the size printed in an older helmet.
Moto Central groups the current colours and graphics by model, while separate Biltwell visors and Biltwell spare parts pages make compatibility checks easier. Product listings show the available sizes and approval details for the exact helmet.
Within the Gringo family, SV adds adjustable brow vents and additional shell vents. Lane Splitter also uses front, side and rear ventilation, while Gringo S is the simpler shielded Gringo choice.
No. Gringo, Gringo S, Gringo SV, Lane Splitter and Tahoe use different attachment systems, and approval generations can also change compatibility.
