A Simple Idea Takes Root (1988)
RST started in 1988 under the name Rhino. The founding aim was modest but bold: create motorcycle clothing that offered riders great value without sacrificing protection or style. Gloves were the first focus.
Evolving into RST (2001)
In 2001 the brand relaunched under the name RST. A sports leather and textile line was added. What began as gloves grew into full suits, jackets, trousers and more, marking a new chapter in product breadth and ambition.
Success on the Track (2003-2008)
Racing played a key role in building RST’s reputation. In 2003 a British Supersport championship win helped the brand gain attention. In 2008, RST earned a world championship. These victories brought credibility and pushed development in protective gear.
Manufacturing and Growth (2014)
By 2014 RST had built its own factory focused on race suits. The facility expanded to make more leather garments and most of its textile clothing. This move allowed tighter control over quality and better innovation.
Expanding Safety (2015-2020)
In 2015 RST became the official safety partner for the Isle of Man TT. Five years later, in 2020, the brand introduced its first airbag range. This step brought advanced rider protection to a wider audience.
