2021 is a milestone for the Moto Guzzi motorcycling brand. They are to celebrate 100 years of continuous production at their Italian plant. They are starting the year with the launch of their updated V85 TT. The model first came out last year to solid reviews and is now set to offer better value for money thanks to a few tweaks to its design.

The 2021 V85 TT model comes in two variations, the Adventure and Travel options. The Adventure is the base model while the Travel comes with extra options like LED lighting, adjustable heated grips on the handlebars, and a taller windscreen.

It features an air-cooled 853cc, 90-degree V-twin engine with pushrods setting in motion the two valves per cylinder. An update to the ignition system now delivers a better activating regimen.

This new design to the engine also delivers more torque at lower rpm. This responsiveness is partly due to the low-positioned oil tank with twin oil pumps that reduces oil drag on the crankshaft. The lightweight design of the assembly and pistons delivers a faster pickup at lower revs. The engine can achieve 80 horsepower at 7,750 rpm with a torque of 5,000 rpm. Even with just a two-valve design, the Guzzi OHV motor is quite powerful and comes with a 7,800 rpm limiter.

This model also offers an impressive 250+ mile range. Fuel efficiency has improved, with the motorcycle offering a 48 mpg burn on a six-gallon tank. The V85 TT initially came with just three riding modes – Street, Off-road, and Rain. The 2021 models have been upgraded to also include Sport and Custom modes. Sport offers a more powerful riding capability while Custom allows the rider to apply their own settings. Whatever the riding style, view our great collection of motorcycle boots, we supply motorcycle gear for all occasions.

Another change is in the tires. Last year’s model came with tubeless tires on wire-spoke wheels. 2021 will see the V85 TTs run on air-tight tires with no need for an inner tube.
