A Vision in Leather (1969)
Furygan was founded in 1969 by Jacques Segura, a master leather craftsman with a background in producing high quality gloves. Building on this expertise, he turned his attention to motorcycling, combining technical knowledge with a strong sense of design. From the beginning, the brand stood for protection, performance and pride in craftsmanship.
Inspired by Service and Identity
Jacques' time in the French Air Force played a key role in shaping the brand’s identity. The Furygan panther logo was inspired by the insignia of the parachute regiment, symbolising strength, agility and readiness. The name itself is a fusion of the words "Fury" and "Gant", the French word for glove, honouring the brand's origins.
From Gloves to Full Rider Gear
Furygan started by producing gloves for motorcyclists and winter sports. But it wasn’t long before they expanded into full protective clothing. Their quality attracted attention quickly, even earning contracts to produce technical gear for the military. This early success laid the foundation for a brand that would become synonymous with premium motorcycle apparel.
Craftsmanship in Every Detail
From the cutting of premium leather to the stitching and testing, every Furygan product reflects the brand’s dedication to precision. Each piece is developed in-house, beginning with raw materials carefully selected for durability and comfort. The company maintains its roots in Nîmes, where the original workshop still plays a part in production and custom design.
Pushing the Limits Through Racing
Furygan has always had one foot on the racetrack. Working with professional racers has allowed the brand to refine its gear under the most demanding conditions. From MotoGP to endurance racing, Furygan has developed custom suits and gloves that combine lightweight performance with maximum protection.
Innovation and Safety First
With the creation of its in-house Motion Lab, Furygan has taken product testing to the next level. Advanced research goes into improving impact absorption, abrasion resistance and ergonomics. The use of modern materials like D3O and Kevlar shows the brand’s commitment to combining tradition with forward-thinking safety technologies.
