From California to Bergamo (1975)
The story begins in 1975 when an enduro rider named Amilcare travelled to California and started importing motorcycle gear back to Italy. Inspired by what he discovered overseas, he brought back more than products he brought ambition. As his family grew, so did his dream of creating something entirely his own.
A Family Legacy (2007)
In 2007, Amilcare and his children Davide, Michela and Danila launched their own helmet brand in Bergamo. The name DMD stands for the initials of his three children. What started as a passion project quickly captured attention for its unique blend of vintage aesthetics and modern safety.
Retro Design with Modern Safety
DMD specialised in crafting helmets that look like they belong in the 1960s or 70s while using modern materials and manufacturing. From open‑face classics to full‑face contemporary hybrids, each helmet reflects an era gone by without compromising comfort or protection.
Designed by Riders, for Riders
Those at the heart of DMD are riders themselves. Design and development stem from sketches that evolve into prototypes and go through real‑world testing with many taking to the road for long hours and varied weather to ensure performance meets standards.
Creativity That Stays Wild
DMD didn’t just follow retro trends they anticipated them. The brand made waves early in the café‑racer and scrambler resurgence by always staying a step ahead of style. They continue to surprise with fresh colourways, bespoke graphics and limited‑edition models.
Handcrafted in Italy
Every DMD helmet is crafted in Bergamo. The focus is on quality, attention to detail and Italian flair something that shines through customers who appreciate riding gear with soul and character.
